What's the point of perks being "basic attack only"? Anyone else notice how the strongest killers in the game have only basic attacks? I think this was a bad change that I hope eventually gets reverted to put all the killers on a more even playing field

What about Play With Your Food do special attacks make you lose stacks as well?

I don't think that Trapper's special attack counts as a "grab" since it doesn't work for archive challenges (grab and interrupt x number of survivors, correct me if I am wrong), nor does it award you brutality points. I think it has its own unique name: "pick up trapped survivor".

Couldn't it be argued that trapper has medium rather than high flexibility. I know there is the whole thing, that a good trapper will lure people into his traps, and place good traps and such things. But I feel his flexibility is too reliant on the skill of the survivors for it to be high flexibility, as he cannot directly decide when to use his special attack. He is only able to make sure that his basic attack is available, and even this can be hindered by disarming his traps.

Hi Otz, great video as always. Just a quick question. If Deathslinger is considered ‘High Flexibility’ surely Ghostface and Shape have atleast ‘Mid Flexibility’ if not High in the case of Ghostface? Your case for Deathslinger is his ability to reduce a health state without using a basic attack but this is the same as a Ghostface or The Shape triggering their powers on an obsession with full health. I would argue that Ghostface, with his ability to 99 and then expose a survivor mid chase gives him higher flexibility than Deathslinger who has to suffer a stun and then catch up to the survivor again. Would be nice to hear your thoughts and if you considered this.

I think it would be very beneficial for a lot of your viewers to explain the basic mechanics of killers in mathematical terms. I'm talking about what the basic swing cooldown is, how long it takes to kick a pallet or gen, and how much distance survivor gains during a swing cooldown and how much time it translates into to catch back up. Once they understand that, it is much easier to understand how Save The Best for Last compares to Brutal Strength for example. I've noticed that the exact math behind a lot of these mechanics is not very well documented or well known in general by the community, which is very unusual in other player vs. player games.

Let's discuss an issue please: The problems are the game and the developers not making their players understand which path the game has taken, not the styles of play. You have to decide 1: horror model where the killer in perfect role play does everything to kill you without grant easy save or think about your fun and if he wants to kill only one by losing the game if he is happy to have sacrificed only one that's okay, rightly he enjoys more to kill who he is it held a lot, didn't it? Positive Things: Survivor genuinely enjoys in the teabag at the camper and tunneler killer at the exit 2: Specify that it is a competitive and fair game by modifying some mechanics, There would probably be fewer salty people but less tension and satisfaction in beating a killer who has to follow rules. (examples of changes): when you are saved on the second hook at 32m from the killer even if you have no radius of terror you are already healthy but you have a status to "heal" as a deep wound, so as not to be immediately landable but you have to heal yourself not being able to do immediately the generators, in short, a kind of borrowed time that is activated only at the 2nd rescue from the hook with the killer nearby) or not being able to hook 3 times in a row the first survivor who hooks up (landing him yes) if the others on the team are all at 0 hooks but if you make a different hook you can kill it. BUT NERF DS 3: everyone plays as they like without disturbing and criticizing (impossible😉) Choose!

Good to note that stealthy killers like ghost face and pig can grab off of a gen pretty consistently. I wouldn't say it puts them up a tier in flexibility, just a nice way to manipulate perks using a power that isn't damaging

Ghost face being able to stalk survivors separately allows him to go for normal hits on non-obsession's and stalk the obsession to instant down saving stacks, it's not amazing but it's something.

I don't agree with you in a few cases. In an ideal world it might be how you described it but honestly, when put into an actual situation: Trapper - Mid Flexibility - His choice here is 100% dependant on his traps and luck. If you go up against a disarm commando group, they basically remove your power and you're left with M1. Same if a trap triggers while you're too far away and they escape immediately. The fact that trapper can't really choose is what would put him down to mid flexibility. There's an option to avoid M1 but it's not an on demand, reliable option. Huntress - High Flexibility - Provided she has hatchets, which are still very easy to reload a huntress with a survivor within M1 range has the option to M1 or use power at any time. Close range is even very easy to hit so she has pretty much complete power over what she hits with and when. Deathslinger - Mid Flexibility - This one is kinda like Legion. If I'm chasing someone injured, using my power to deal damage won't down them. So I'm forced to do the M1 regardless if I want to or not. Pyramid head - High Flexibility - Has a readily available M1 or ranged power with downing capability. Free choice on any attack right there. Bubba - High Flexibility - Has a choice just like Billy but realistically it's much more controllable than Billy and can hit multiple survivors where Billy can only hit one per chainsaw. I'd say this gives him a very effective choice pretty much at any point. Apart from that, pretty much agree with everything else.

You know what really makes me sad about Otz? The fact that he makes 4 hours videos explaining everything in great details only to get obsolete-ed by the next patch because they decided that something will be .001 seconds faster but since DBD is totally not broken, the dedicated server makes it like three time as fast or nothing works the same anymore. Well I would argue that Ghost Face has more flexibility than what you gave him because you can expose the obsession and then get them down in one hit only losing 2 stacks. The same as deathslinger as well, except with deathslinger you need to break the chain then hit them.

Legion is even better killer for StBfL then Demo, Trapper or Pig, because his special attack is so much easier to apply. Exceptions are Slinger (also he can injure with power and not loose stacks very easily
